Bennie’s Pizza Pub is one of those downtown Belleville spots that just feels right. It is a classic by the slice pizza place with a full bar, and they do it well. You can grab one of their specialty pizzas or build your own exactly how you want it, and either way you are not going to be disappointed. Their salads are also surprisingly good and definitely worth ordering. They have two rooms you can rent for events, and one of them opens right up to downtown, which is a really cool setup for parties or get togethers. They also have live music fairly often, so it is always a good idea to check what is going on before heading out. What really stands out to me is how much they give back to the community. They host local school events and even teach kids how to make pizza. You can tell it is a family owned business that genuinely cares about Belleville, and that makes supporting them even better.
